Caesars Entertainment Corporation to launch sportsbetting in Indiana

Taking advantage of recently-ratified legislation and American casino operator, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, has reportedly announced that it intends to launch sportsbetting at five venues in Indiana beginning from as soon as Sunday.

According to a Tuesday report fr 7BALL CX om local television broadcaster WXIN-TV, the Las Vegas-headquartered firm revealed that it is planning to open a bespoke sportsbook inside its Indiana Grand Racing and Casino from September 1 before premiering a similar service for its Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino some 18 days later.

Legislative exploitation:

Caesars Entertainment Corporation spent approximately $1.7 billion a little over a year ago to purchase the firm behind these two Indiana venues and is to reportedly be the first to capitalize on legislation signed by the Governor of the Midwest state, Eric Holcomb, in May that legalized sportsbetting from the first day of next month.

Inaugural introduction:

WXIN-TV reported that the sportsbetting facility inside Indiana Grand Racing and Casino is to be christened as the Winner’s Circle Race Sports Pub and will utilize the footprint of an existing off-track wagering and dining spot near the center of the Shelby County venue to offer markets on a wide range of sports including baseball, basketball and golf. Caesars is hoping that this new attraction will prove especially popular with residents of Indianapolis, which is located only about 25 miles away, thanks to its planned use of state-of-the art audio and visual technologies.

Successor service:

The broadcaster reported that the new-build sportsbook for Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino is to be known as The Book and will be located next to the venue’s The Terrace Showroom. This facility is to purportedly overlook the Madison County development’s horseracing track and moreover offer punters the chance to enjoy a range of food and beverage outlets.

Off-track developments:

In addition, WXIN-TV detailed that Caesars is to premiere Winner’s Circle Race Sports Pub-branded sportsbooks for the off-track betting parlors it runs in the Indiana communities of Clarksville, Indianapolis and New Haven beginning from September 3.

Ron Baumann, Senior Vice-President and General Manager for Indiana Grand Racing and Casino, told the broadcaster that the coming sportsbooks are due to provide aficionados with ‘a brand-new way to experience their favorite events.’ His counterpart for Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino, Trent McIntosh, purportedly echoed these sentiments and declared that the opportunity for sports fans to place a wager should lead to ‘more visitation and tourism for our host communities’.
